Very good food. Restaurant could be a bit warmer, but the service & meal quality very good.
Staff welcoming and friendly, room ok although we were in the extended part of the hotel so the room was heated with convector heaters so was boiling or quite cold. Shower was shocking, no pressure. Breakfast was delicious. Free parking available
Stayed for NYE & had a meal there. Food was good but atmosphere was subdued. Hotel had a good location, central on the high road to shops, pubs and restaurants. Hotel is in need of a freshen up, looking very tired and thread bare. Mattress in our room was truly uncomfortable, worse nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel.
Nice staff. Unfortunately, the rooms are a bit tired and out dated. Central heating didn't work and the walks were very thin where you can hear everything happening in adjacent rooms. My room smelled of stale tobacco smoke which as a non-smoker, wasn't too pleasant. Food, beer and breakfast was good though!
Great old charm hotel. Very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Have already booked for new year's eve. Well worth a visit.
