Mill House is a narrow Victorian mid-terrace which has been converted into 6 bedrooms, 2 small shower rooms, a small dining room to seat 6, and no communal seating area. The kitchen/dining room is down a steep staircase with low headroom and no handrail (a possible safety hazard). On arrival there was mouldy food in the kitchen, out of date milk in the fridge, a cracked toilet seat, dishwasher not working, cigarette butts on the doorstep, stains and burn marks on the carpets etc. We took photos of the above and sent to Airbnb who transferred us that day to another property. Mill House might be good value if you want a base for the races as bedrooms are attractive and a good size and the location is very central. However for us the steep stairs and no lounge area for us to all relax, and no place for all 10 of us to eat together means it wasn't suitable for our family Christmas get-together especially as our party included young children and an 84-year old blue-badge holder.
