The shoulder seams of my wedding dress unraveled within a few hours of wearing the dress on my wedding day. I took photographic evidence of this on the day and notified the shop owner the very next day, however Lara B did nothing to compensate me other than offer to mend the seams (too little too late in my opinion - my wedding day had been and gone!) and were unpleasant to deal with. Poor quality and poor service! My advice would be to avoid this shop!!!!! Luckily all other providers (photographer, venue, musician, makeup artist) were exceptional so I still had a fabulous day.
I most definitely recommend Lara for anyone else looking for a wedding dress. I got married in late October 2018, having first gone to Lara's shop in January. I only tried on a few different dresses, quickly settling on a Lara B Couture option where Lara put a top and two layers of skirt together, which she had designed. I then went back for measurements, followed by 3 more quick slots to make some tweaks and made sure it fitted perfectly. And it really did, Lara knew exactly what needed doing to make it look beautiful and fit like a glove. She added some gorgeous motifs that stitched on to the back, and amended the sleeve length so they were longer than in the original design. I was so happy with my dress, and got a lot of comments on the day as to how beautiful it was, and perfect for me. I can't wait to see our official photos!Thanks Lara, and Rosie, I'll be recommending you to anyone I know nearby if they get engaged .
What differentiates Lara B Bridal from other wedding dress shops? The answer is simple and was simple to me as soon as I walked into the shop. Its Lara herself. Lara is a wonderful lady and as soon as you step foot into the store you feel special. Her bespoke service from initial meeting to taking the dress home is impeccable as the service she provides is individual.The second thing is her bespoke dresses. Lara is a designer (which is a massive differentiator) and makes fantastic separates which she makes into a final wedding dress. I found with other dress shops, that I would like the top of the dress but wouldnt like the skirt and vice versa: however, with her designs, you could tailor what skirts and tops you liked and then layer them.The third thing is quality. The quality of the fabrics she uses are amazing and you can really tell the difference between other dresses you get in other stores. I would recommend Lara B to anyone who is getting married. Any shape or size, Lara makes you feel special. I will miss Lara and Rosie and will cherish the fantastic memories I had in store with them creating the fantastic dress I got to wear for my wedding day. Thank you so much xxxxx
I cannot recommend Lara enough from start to finish she was amazing! My sister got her dress from there 8 years prior to me and insisted we went there to look for a dress. It was the first shop I tried and instantly knew I wanted my dress from there. I made sure I looked at another shop and was even encouraged by Lara which I thought was very honest and left me feeling with no pressure to buy a dress from her. I did go to another well known local highly rated shop but it didnt compare on any level, dresses, service etc. I didnt really know what I wanted so Lara was great and giving me ideas and getting me to try all sorts on. She really does know what shes doing even just customising/altering existing dresses made me go from disliking a dress to loving it. Not only did she get something that I looked and felt amazing in but she also made sure the dress fitted in with the whole wedding and genuinely seemed interested in our wedding planning. She also gave suggestions/recommendations on other wedding bits not just dresses. Lara and Rosie are so passionate about what they do and it really shows. From the bottom on my heart massive thank you for making it so easy and finding me my perfect wedding dress!
Lara & Rosie were brill! They helped me find a dress at very short notice. Made my mum and I feel very comfortable and at home with them. The dresses in the shop are so nice, some lovely delicate dresses with gorgeous details. They only allow for one bride to be to have an appointment at one time which again made me feel completely comfortable, in no rush and relaxed. I highly recommend this shop if you searching for a dress. You won't be disappointed. Their warm, relaxed style is a complete winner for any bride to be and her family.
