I used park and ride as was free , went a little later after rush hour, was less hassle to use park and ride than to drive to Cambridge . Driver very polite and looked smart in his uniform, driver we very careful driving in traffic I arrived at my destination stress free.
While parking for car is great, less can be said for cycle path at rear to get into town - the path is covered in mud causing a maintenance nightmare. After three months reporting the problem, still no improvement.
Well run lots of spaces to park and busses seem to be very frequent, cost effective way to get to central Cambridge

Good parking (now free again for 18 hours). You can walk/cycle into town from here using the gate shaped like a bicycle at the back. Very nice scenic route about 4 miles. There are toilets at the bus stop. Shuttle bus service is very regular and reasonably priced.
