If you know what you want already this is a okay store ( but you will have to search it on the shelf ) I asked the staff a few times for help and they either didn't know what I was talking about or didn't know where to find it... they were friendly but can't really help with any advise which is sad EDIT: my 3 star review was for the Bunnings Now that they are back to Homebase i feel like they know their stock better again :)
Much better than the Cambridge store. Seemed to have so much more... Just had a nicer feel about the place... Wish I had longer to look around.
Good and varied stock. I got what I wanted and couldn't get at Wickes. Friendly staff. Reasonable price. Easy parking, disabled access and parking.
Delivery rates are competitive but you may be told upon purchase of goods and arranging delivery that your delivery will be on a specific date and in the morning. Granted its not easy to pin down a exact time. I waited all morning for the delivery and when I called the Newmarket Homebase to see if my delivery is scheduled, I was told there is no way of checking as delivery driver has left for the day. Surely its not difficult to have a copy of the delivery schedule retained in the store to confirm if your order is out for delivery or even message the driver to confirm. Ive no idea when my delivery is due. This afternoon, tomorrow?, anyones guess Very poor logistics management. Homebase need to invest in some simple tracking or communication system let alone have a clue if orders are out for delivery.
Brilliant staff and a really good range of goods. I am very happy with the store and the service it provides. The staff are very knowledgable about the stock and are very will and able to help. My garden looks a lot better and I have some great tools. *Accessibility*Excellent! Very good lighting and easy to get around.
